HOW TO TELL AN ORIGINAL? Your Playring is a genuine original, if it has a "Life-Ed" label. If it does not, it will not be made with “eco-Play”, our unique, ultra non-toxic, anti-bacterial fabric, or with our phthalate free PVCs. We have been copied but not bettered! 

MADE TO EN71, AND CIGARETTE AND MATCH TEST REQUIREMENTS OF BS7176 CONTRACT FURNISHING (LOW RISK ): You need to know the products you purchase comply with toy safety and other standards, plus the EU regulations on phthalate content. EU DIRECTIVE BANS CERTAIN SOFTENERS IN PVC  - OUR FABRICS COMPLY: PVC fabric is widely used in the manufacture of soft play because of its durability and the ease with which it can be wiped clean. An EU directive of January 2007 restricted the use of phthalates, (softeners that are used to make PVC pliable), in childcare products. The EU directive is especially concerned with MOUTHABLE PRODUCTS AND REST MATS. Some soft play producers judge their products not "mouthable" because they are of a large size and children use them for short periods in energetic play. We make activity centres in which young children and babies may spend some time, we realise that developing babies and toddlers 'mouth' everything as they learn about the world around them, and will chew/or 'mouth' the edges of our soft play products, rest mats and activity centres, so we use the best, phthalate free, non toxic fabrics, and even include them in our larger soft play items. (For more information on the EU directive please contact us.)

ENVIRONMENTAL CARE: "eco-Play," our exclusive own brand fabric, is made in the UK by a producer registered to the European OEKO-TEX standards for fabric production and protection of the environment. “eco-Play” is ultra non-toxic, it meets the EN71 Toy safety standards, it is actively anti-bacterial for life, non-pvc, and it is phthalate free, which means you can be assured as to its quality, reliability  and safety.

HYGIENE, SAFETY, COMFORT AND DURABILITY: "eco-Play" is waterproof, wipe clean, and anti-bacterial. Anti-bacterial means it actually resists bacterial and fungal growth for life... a special sanitising treatment is added during production. Furthermore "eco-Play" is 'non sweat' to enhance skin care and it helps prevent colonisation of dust mites and so helps address alergy issues. All this extra comfort is not at the expense of durability.

WE ALSO USE SPECIAL PVC: Unlike most PVC commonly used in soft play manufacture, most of our PVC is made phthalate free, all of it is phthalate compliant. Our PVC is also fire retardant (cigarette and match) and meets the EN71 Toy safety standards. We use only the best quality fabrics and materials - all we do is backed by a no quibble guarantee.

FOAM AND FILLINGS: The fillings for our play equipment are finest quality CFC free, fire retardant (to crib 5) polyurethane foams. FR beans and FR fibres are used in some products.
